OUR GOALS

Our primary goal was to develop seamless and safe native mobile apps for both iOS & Android platforms.


To do that, we needed to create a pump simulator app, representing all services and characteristics of the BLE interface.

 

OUR CHALLENGES
Our challenge was to develop beautiful and usable both iOS and Android apps that monitor milk volume in real time, track pumping history for each breast and control the pump remotely.

Our technical and product challenges were:

- BLE connection with 2 pumps at the same time.
- Data synchronization & matching from 2 pumps.
- Marriage of device and user perception of session.
- Comprehensive user onboarding.

PROCESS & RESULTS

 

1.

We developed user journey, especially 
a simple and useful onboarding (how 
to use pumps, wear them comfortably, clean them etc.).

2.

We supported Elvie Pump team in product & design matters.

3.

For iOS app we developed a native BLE implementation.

4.

For Android app we used Bluetooth library from Polidea.
